Natchez Crape Myrtle – Lagerstroemia ‘Natchez’ (white)

'Natchez' crape myrtle produces white flowers in late summer and has attractive peeling bark. It is well suited to a sheltered position.

Upright when young, it gradually develops a broader, spreading crown as it matures.

Showcase it near a sunny wall or in a warm courtyard where summer heat helps it bloom.

Give the plant enough space and light to show its natural form.

Choose a sunny, sheltered spot with well-drained soil and plenty of summer warmth. Water deeply through the first growing seasons and during prolonged dry spells later on. Apply mature compost or a balanced slow-release fertiliser once in spring; protect the roots of young plants in winter. After the main frost risk has passed, shorten weak or damaged shoots to encourage flowering on new growth.
