Parkjuweel barberry is a dense, arching shrub with red-purple foliage and thorny stems.

As the plant matures it forms a bushy, spreading framework, creating a strong shape through the growing season.

Use for a colourful low hedge or durable structure in a sunny mixed border.

Give the plant enough space and light to show its natural form.

Give it a sunny position with sharp drainage; avoid persistently wet winter soil. Water until established; afterwards, water only in extended dry spells. Top-dress with mature compost once a year in spring, keeping it clear of the stems. Remove damaged or crossing branches as needed, avoiding heavy routine pruning.
