About this plant

'Adria' hydrangea produces rounded flower heads above lush green foliage. In suitable acidic soil, the flowers develop blue tones.

It grows into a well-branched shrub with a naturally rounded shape.

How to care

Plant in moisture-retentive but well-drained soil and mulch the root area. Keep the soil evenly moist during establishment and water again whenever the upper soil dries. Apply compost or a slow-release hydrangea fertiliser once in spring; flower colour may change with soil pH. Remove faded flower heads in spring and avoid hard pruning, as next season’s buds develop on older stems.
