Fastigiata Leyland Cypress – × Cuprocyparis leylandii ‘Fastigiata’

Fastigiata Leyland cypress grows in a narrower upright outline than a typical Leyland cypress while remaining dense and green.

Dense evergreen shoots develop into a narrow, upright conical crown, keeping structure in the garden through winter.

Use for a tall screen or formal evergreen accent with regular size control.

Give the plant enough space and light to show its natural form.

Plant in well-drained soil and avoid waterlogged ground. Keep the soil evenly moist during establishment and water again whenever the upper soil dries. Apply mature compost or a slow-release evergreen fertiliser once in spring if soil is poor. Clip once or twice during the growing season to maintain size; do not cut back into old brown wood.
