How to care

Plant in a sunny spot with good drainage, especially in winter. Water deeply through the first growing seasons and during prolonged dry spells later on. A light compost dressing once each spring is sufficient; avoid heavy feeding. Leave plumes for winter interest and cut back old foliage in spring, wearing gloves for the sharp leaves.
